Description  
The accepted candidate will join the emerging field of IT systems informatics leveraging their training to play a key role in defining and delivering breakthrough science in R&D platforms.  This is a contracting opportunity that we would like to have the option to consider converting to a direct hire employee position after 6+ months on contract. 

Responsibilities:
 
  • Configuration of the LabWare LIMS system using out of the box configuration and custom configuration using LabWare LIMS Basic.
  • System implementation and maintenance including extensive debugging of custom code.
  • Documenting processes for system configuration, implementation and functionality.
  • Configuring and modifying static data (i.e. products and instruments).
  • Enhancing the LIMS system based upon user requirements and implementing changes within a defined SDLC.
  • Communicating effectively within the IT and Business teams to convey complex ideas verbally and in written form.
 
Requirements:
 
 
  Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or Science or an equivalent degree and level of experience.
 
  • An understanding of the business processes involved in implementing LIMS.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience implementing and maintaining a 3rd party LIMS system from development through production deployment.
  • 1-2 years of experience utilizing SQL.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and drive towards goals independently to ensure the success of business objectives.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities and the ability to work in a Matrix management environment.
Qualifications that are an added plus:
  • A degree in Management Information Systems or related area of study.
  • Understanding or familiarity of GxP regulations.
  • Experience integrating instruments with a LIMS system.
  • Experience creating Crystal Reports.
  • Experience working in a microbiology, bioinformatics or regulated environment.
