Job Summary


The Program Manager is a skilled project leader who is able to direct multiple projects effectively while mastering innovative technologies.  Main responsibilities include implementation of professional project management practices that incorporate the different phases of the implementation process including baseline study, change management, implementation and post implementation follow-up and support.  The Program Manager will participate as a key member of the Client Services team and act as the project implementation champion. 
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
  • Work within and across internal teams to ensure project management results in a timely, high quality implementation and positive customer experience.
  • Defining and documenting business requirements & functional specifications. Coordinating project and workflow management with product owner, development and QA teams.
  • Confirm solution fit and identify customer-specific benefits that contribute to a unique business value offering
  • Create comprehensive client implementation documentation, including schedules, costs, plus resource responsibilities and agreed upon success criteria.
  • Develop project plans to manage and monitor each phase of the implementation process.
  • Identify and manage resources as needed to successfully complete client implementations.  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously a must.
  • Along with implementations team, identify, manage and resolve all issues that are identified during the implementation process.
  • Understand customer requirements, create Statements of Work (SOW), and communicate justification of technical proposal and solutions.
  • When necessary, create process flow documentation to illustrate business processes and system flow
  • Refine and drive adoption of “The Delivery Playbook” – a repository of product and delivery information used for a repeatable customer experience.  Ensure that new employee training for PM/Trainers is facilitated.
  • Conduct client training sessions on-site or through web meetings.
  • Organize post-project meetings with clients to ensure project implementation success and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicating overall project status to all stakeholders. 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience.
  • 5 years’ experience as a project manager, planning, organizing, directing and leading customer centric ERP software implementations preferred.
  • Strong project management skills essential.
  • Demonstrated repeated success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven track record of success in change management and client implementations.
  • Experience coordinating and directing projects to meet specific customer needs and driving new business.
  • Ability to interact and negotiate with all levels of an organization.
  • Aptitude for working with details and the ability to see the ‘big’ picture.
  • Ability to synthesize complex issues into simple, easy-to-understand components.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and proven analytical/problem solving skills. 
  • Experience in higher education environment preferred.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience implementing and training ERP systems.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Project Management Training/Certification.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and Operations Management as it applies to Project Management is a big plus.
