Position Summary:
 
The Project Manager is responsible for the design, management and execution of the applicable implementation of the company’s software products for a new client or end user.  This position is responsible for coordinating and leading all resources, both internal and client/end user related, associated with the implementation of the company’s multiple software products within multiple product lines. This position will need to be able to simultaneously clearly distinguish between multiple software products, differing client/end user configurations, specific technical nuances and the company’s defined implementation commitments for each.
 
The Project Manager also manages the conversion of existing clients/end users to new, significantly advanced software products.  Such software product advancements reflect new architectural platforms, transition from a fat-client to a web-based environment, etc.; resulting in necessitated changes in hardware, servers, databases and network configurations.
 
The company’s software interfaces with other software systems utilized by hospitals.  This position manages the implementation of these interfaces when a client/end user adds such an interface after the initial implementation of the overall software has been completed.
 
The Project Manager’s efforts are performed remotely from the company’s offices in St. Louis.  Client/end user management is performed via teleconference or electronic visual communication.
 
Principal Responsibilities and Duties: 
  • Coordinate, organize and manage all aspects of the following project types with the client/end user and internal company staff:
    • New client/end user implementations
    • Advanced software conversions
    • Interface implementations
  • Anticipate and be proactive in the resolution of problems, conflicts, technical anomalies, or other items that may arise during the project.
  • Identify the timeline for each project and communicate project status to the client/end user and internal company staff.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain detailed project documentation to ensure that the client/end user is educated on all aspects of the project.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain detailed internal project documentation.
  • Provide appropriate client/end user education via electronic visual communication.
  • Coordinate database data entry, client/end user asset tray labeling and on-site client training, as appropriate, given the software product being implemented. 
Educational Requirements: 
 
Bachelor’s degree in business, management or information technology.
 
Experience Required: 
  • 5 – 7 years of project management experience
  • 5 – 7 years information technology experience, including package software and configuration experience
  • 5+ years software implementation experience
  • 5+ years of direct end user interaction experience
  • 5+ years end user training experience
  • Strong skills with project management software
  • Advance desktop computer knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC Hardware, desktop applications, web-based software programs and peripherals
  • Experience in MS Office and a general use of CRM program software
  • Knowledge of the following is preferred:
    • pcAnywhere, Remote Desktop and/or other VPN software
    • Windows Server 2005 and 2008
    • SQL 2005 and 2008
