The Project Manager primary responsibility will be to serve as the Project Manager for a new software development project to update existing server based software into a web-based software product. The Project Manager will be facilitator for the software development team removing impediments and ensuring the team delivers the sprint goals / deliverables. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the success of the overall project and will need to coordinate with management on sprints, product release dates and deliverables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage relationships and communicates with the client, senior management, the project team, and a wide range of project contributors.
  • Assist developers / product owners / senior management in estimating, managing, and prioritizing product backlog.
  • Facilitate meetings including Kick-Offs, Iteration Planning Sessions, Daily Stand Ups, and Retrospectives.
  • Communicate regularly to senior management regarding the status of specific project deliverables.
  • Provide timelines and set expectations.
  • Identify and monitor risks to projects’ success and actively manage all mitigation activities.
  • Resolve conflicts, counsel team members, remove obstacles and lead project teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage projects’ scope and budget.
  • Provide input into processes, standards, and plans in support of the business.
  • Assist in establishing project procedures, metrics, and required reports to provide senior management.
  • Coordinate schedules and delivery dates with customers and third party vendors.
  • Elicit and document project requirements from subject matter experts.
  • Maintain projects in project management software so status of project is visible at all times.
  • Responsibility to ensure that quality processes are followed without exception.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • The Project Manager must provide leadership and oversight on projects and be able to direct programmers and IT personnel without supervisor authority.
Education and/or Experience:
  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience and training along with demonstrated experience working as a scrum master in a software development environment.
Software/Computer Skills:
  • MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, prefer experience with Jira
Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership with the ability to make quick, well-reasoned decisions.
  • Demonstrated ethics and values to foster high team trust.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
  • PMP Certification is a plus. Agile Certification is a plus.
