Hadoop Developer

Omaha, NE
Experienced with end to end within Hadoop.  Show proven development experience.  Ability to go through and think about how to process and engineer.  Understand how to do Java development.  Strong SQL skills.  Spark 2.3 version,  Scala, Spark SQL is being used.  Structured and unstructured data.  Not looking for Hadoop admin just application developers.  

3+ years is what they are looking for and overall development of 5 years experience.  

Looking to get people in the door.  Likely eligible to hire.  Need to be US-Citizen or Green Card Holder
 
Opportunity Overview
  • Duties include providing high-quality solutions by designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining programs. Other responsibilities include developing and modifying moderately complex information systems involving most phases of systems analysis and programming.
  • Analyze, design, code, test and document programs and enhancements.
  • Assist with defining and meeting business requirements
  • Prepare detailed software specifications
  • Provide program and system level estimates
  • Conduct code walk-through's to assure quality of programs developed by other associates
  • Mentor less-experienced programmer analysts.
  • Must have qualifications:
  • Java, Spark, Scala knowledge and experience
 
Nice to have:
Hive, Sqoop, HBase, Yarn, UNIX Shell scripting
 
Position Requirements
  • Experience with big data technologies Spark and Scala is required (Hadoop a plus)
  • Strong development experience with Java/Spring Framework.
  • Experience on Hive, Sqoop, HBase, Yarn, UNIX Shell Scripting is a plus.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of development experience along with good analysis and trouble-shooting skills are required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems ,computer science or related field
  • Must have experience with web application interface.
  • Experience on Micro services/ Rest API.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues in business terms
  • Develop relationships with business owners
  • Define root cause of problems and correct the most complex problems quickly to minimize impact to the business
